The Sisterhood Project

A support circle created by a woman for women.

A couple of years ago, I walked into a coffee shop and bumped into a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. Within a few minutes, we were sitting at a table sharing the innards of our lives. We took it all off and got naked, vulnerable. We cried, we laughed, and after two lingering hugs, we parted ways feeling supported and uplifted—all because we let down our guard and got honest.

It was that evening I started The Sisterhood Project, in hopes I could provide a safe space for women to be heard, accepted and loved for who they are.

Writing Is Yoga

Through the practice of writing I am able to quiet my judgments and allow my heart to roam free, exposing and releasing fears, shame, guilt and doubt. When I complete a session of writing, I feel lighter–I feel free.

I began noticing that writing produces the same sensation I have when I finish a session of yoga, so I decided to create a writing class called Writing is Yoga.

Writing is Yoga is a facilitated group class appropriate for everyone from novice to professional writers.

I believe everyone is a writer you just have to write.

The process is simple and allows everyone to pick up a pen and write without constraint, while forming bonds of trust and intimacy with fellow group members.

Writing is Yoga is an experience not to be missed. It is an effective addition to any team-building program, retreat, school program or support group.

Please contact me to schedule a session.
